Elisefarm is a private golf resort, built in a terrain with a great view of Ringsjön. The holes ”slingrar sig fram längs stengärdsgårdar i ett småkuperat landskap” and with elements of strategic water hazards. The greens are built according to USGA standards and sown with the traditional English grass varieties, making them playable almost all year round.
The golf course was designed by Martin Hawtree, who’s from England and was opened in 2005 by Henrik Stenson and Louise Stahle. Hawtree is a third generation golf course designer and has experience of new construction as well as the careful renovation of old golf course brands like Lahinch, Royal Birkdale, and Royal Melbourne. Hawtree has also designed Vallda GK in Kungsbacka and Simons Golf Club in Helsingör, Denmark. Since a while ago, Hawtree is hired by Donald Trump for a project in Aberdeen, Scotland to build "the world's best golf course".
Martin Hawtree has taken great care of existing surroundings and the track layout is characterized by his significant bunkers and green areas. The design also has classic features of a British golf course - deeply ”rooted” in the history of the game. The course is challenging and gives all players, regardless of game strength, a fun and memorable golf and nature experience. The course has par 72 and measures 6011 meters from yellow tea. From white and blue tee, the course holds championship class.
We have 10 minutes between the balls to relieve stress while achieving faster golf rounds by avoiding unnecessary waiting times. Forget about getting changed in the car and running out to the first tee with the breath in your throat. Instead, have a nice lunch and do some warm-up for a bit before the round if you want to. Both members and guests can book time online at www.golf.se and at the reception at tel. +46413 - 330 70.
